About Us
Welcome to Alvin Elementary School's website. Here, parents will find valuable information about our academic achievements, professional staff, curricular programs, instructional materials, safety procedures, classroom environment, and facility conditions. Alvin Elementary provides a warm, stimulating environment where students are actively involved in learning both academics and positive values. Our dedicated professional staff delivers a standards-based, challenging curriculum tailored to the individual needs of each student. Ongoing evaluation of student progress and achievement allows us to refine our instructional program, ensuring academic proficiency.
At Alvin School, we place a high emphasis on preparing students for college. We were recognized as a California Gold Ribbon School in 2016 for our model program, "College Starts Here: On the Path to College and Career Readiness." We are committed to becoming an AVID Elementary site and are embedding positive behavior supports (PBIS) through our four Bs: Be Safe, Be Responsible, Be Respectful, and Be Kind. We are dedicated to providing the best educational program possible and welcome any suggestions or questions you may have about the information in this report or about the school. Together, through our hard work, we will challenge our students to reach their maximum potential.
Our mission is to ensure that every child has a safe and nurturing environment that prepares all students for success in college and in life.
